Husband afraid of hurting my feeliings
Hi folks. I am 73 days sober but spent years before that developing my beer gut. I was saying to my husband the other day that I am a bit discouraged after not drinking for 2 months that I haven't really lost any weight. My husband said "I didn't want to say anything and hurt your feelings but you have lost weight. I can tell when I hug you." I guess he thought that I might take it as "you were a fat lush" or something-lol.
I got on the scale and sure enough, I lost 5 lbs! I am so used to wearing baggy clothes to hide my fat that I didn't even realize it. Heck, I hope next month he can "hurt my feelings" again!

Sweet fella, and paying attention...to YOU!
We're sobriety-time sisters - I'm August 16...
I haven't lost a single ounce, although I'm feeling great inside my body! It's funny, I've always joked that my weight was because I have such "dense bones" (I weigh more than I appear to). Turns out that's not delusional! I got a bone density test the other day at the hospital, and it turns out that my bones are literally off the chart in terms of density...Ha!
Congratulations on 73 days of sobriety!
