hello i'm new
Hello,
I'm new to this site. This is my first post so i really don't know what to say. I'm 24 years old and recovering from alcohol. I have been wanting to quit for a while now but kept making excuses. So now i have to quit or go to jail.

Hey topaz10, welcome!
It's great that you've come to realize that there's a problem, and have taken steps to correct it. You're tackling this at 24 as well, which is huge. I think we all know in our hearts that we'll need to stop sooner or later, so it's great that you've opted for 'sooner.'
In all honesty, although drinking seems like fun and games in the beginning, if you allow it to carry on for too long (like I did, unfortunately), nothing good will come of it.
Nice job!
