I saw this on Linkedin and while reading through it I found it remarkably applicable to our mutual situation. When we simplify, we do create clarity. I know I can use some simplification and clarity.

Love it Trach! I live in the tech world all nice and corporate like. Many of these thrown around every day. I especially love to hate the first one!!!!

this reminds me of yeas ago one of the employees got hold of a list of phrases to be used by supervisors to incentivise workers. The all time favorite was, "Good job (name)." For a while everyone was going around telling each other, "Good job name!"

Sorry, was in a cynical mood last night.
I have had years of buzzwords too.
At the end of the day, I had to shift the goal posts and keep moving forward.
Are we on the same page?
Seems it's critical to push through the barriers.
I'm tracking my KPI's here in sobriety and 94 days would indicate that I am focused on my number one priority.
I think I have avoided any recovery cliches... But the long term forecast is, at the end of the day, looking positive.
I have had years of buzzwords too.

There's not many situations I avoid to stay Sober, but immersing back into this Corporate Guano Speak is one. I read just a few of these above.
I used to deal with this Overseas all the time. One Boss I'd travel with would talk this smack in places like Korea, at Synchrotrons and Labs. I'd hang back and watch half the Room do what I called 'A Full Beagle'. Heads tipped sideways from not understanding one word of his.
My Vocab when Training would have to be put on 'Hold'. Sentences like 'high frequency attenuation dominates with long Cable effects, or poor Grounding' don't cut it. Instead, it's 'Long Cables have low Voltage'.
Early on, my Wife would come get me at the Airport. Q: 'How's your Flight'? A: 'OK. Long delay. Big Seatmate'. After a few of these Kindergarten-level exchanges, she'd ask 'WTF is wrong with you; you sound like an Idiot!'. Ya keep the Modifiers simple Overseas. Being understood beats not being understood. Corporate Speak is especially obnoxious in Int'l Biz.
Before Early Retirement, one Memo announced that '[I] would now be Officed on the 2nd Floor'.

My least favorite words used at work are "socialize" (puke) and "thought leadership" (double puke). Oh and "champion", as in "champion a project".
Other words on the list are fine. "Bandwidth" is acceptable, as is "proactive".
Don't get me started on "synergy"...
I think the general gist is to just call things what they are and stop tap dancing instead of making a point, that I agree with in business and recovery.
