Many thanks!

Boy, just the Titles over on the right side of that Webpage are, shall we say, mighty sobering, too.

Pretty surprised that 10% of the population develop alcohol disorders according to these researches, higher than I expected.

My biology is pretty basic but from reading the article it seems to support an 'all or nothing' attitude amongst those with alcohol disorders, almost like a see-saw that once tipped spirals.

"MicroRNAs lower the levels of proteins such as BDNF by binding to messenger RNA, the molecular middleman that carries instructions from genes to the protein-making machinery of the cell, and tagging it for destruction."
Nasty stuff there. Shows how alcohol affects brain chemistry very well.

Not a new article but one that is important about how alcohol hi-jacks the brain.
NIH study finds chronic alcohol use shifts brain’s control of behavior
“These findings give important insight into how excessive drinking affects learning and behavioral control at the neural level,”
