1 week sober 1 week drunk and that goes on...
Obviously need to break this cycle I have created. Every second week I have my kids and stay more or less sober, every second week they are at their dads and I drink. After my sober week I feel great, I loose some weight, eat well and excersise a lot. Sleep is good and work too. And yet again I can´t seem to continue. I really have to change strategy. ths coming week I have the kids and I will try to make a new plan för the weeks without kids.
After this week I feel relieved that my sober week is coming. Which is a funny thing, nobody forces me to drink the other weeks..
Well Day 1 again anyway.
Have a great week all!

Sadly it won't go on for ever if you don't stop.
End stage liver failure is a common, but not the only cause of death, if we don't find a way and the motivation to stay stopped.
A sad thread in F&F serves as a reminder to me today.
I pray that you can find a way in time.
And that you never stop trying.

Hi.
I and many others needed to want to be sober as a number one priority and do something else to accomplish that end. Wishing it away doesn’t usually work well as it takes dedicated action. We need to make it our number one priority above ALL others, kids, spouse, job etc. those things will fall into place once we stop.
BE WELL

I just broke my cycle.
The way I did it was Changing up my routine.
So- be somewhere else, do something else,
have a plan , set it now. then follow it.
You sound sick of the cycle...a great sign that your about to break it and be free!
What do you do other than try to not drink Laura? my own willpower only got me so far.
Instead I needed support and to change up my daily routine to shift things away from drinking.
You can do this!!
