I'm officially on day 84 and I'm very proud. My first attempt at sobriety started in January, then I slipped up 83 days later in April.
I'm excited to have made my way back and break my previous record. With that said although I feel really good and love not being hungover , like last time my av is creeping on me hard. It's like I'm getting to the stage where I'm bored with this again and I'm having more urges to feel the buzz. I'm not going to mess it up this time but I hope I get some balance back soon because this isn't fun. Hope your having a good weekend

Wow! Congratulations, that is HUGE! I can imagine it feels great to get to 84 when your slip was on day 83. I am on day 21 after many starts and slips. I'd love to hear any advice you have to offer. Are you still facing cravings or have you found that they have subsided? Keep at it, thanks for sharing!
I understand when you describe being "bored" by sobriety my time. I had 8 months about 4 years ago and when I analyzed my return to drinking after that, and at first described the culprit as boredom. But utimately, I feel it is all about letting ourselves forget why we chose to be sober in the first place, or NOT running the tape all the way through, as they say.
My new favorite quote I've seen here, that seems to address anything your AV can dish out is "I never knew a person who woke up and was sorry they didn't get drunk the night before."
Hang in there...and a big high five on 84 days.
