Faced down a huge challenge yesterday

I had been putting off getting my taxes done because I knew I owed something. I had an out of body experience when the tax preparer told me I owed *thousands* more thanI had thought. I went to my car and cried and my first thought was "I NEED to get drunk." I called a sober buddy instead and we went and had a sandwich and talked. I white knuckled it through the rest of the afternoon and got to a meeting. I am so glad I didn't drink. I would have felt awful today and would have been that much poorer. I'm learning, step by step, decision by decision, that I can get through life's challenges-even the big ones-without drinking. Thanks for your support everyone. It's making all the difference.

Might be good to get a second opinion. I was a tax accountant, and I know even I overlooked some things from time to time. Good idea to get a second look.

Way to go getting through it. You got this.

In fact, when faced with a financial challenge, the last thing one needs to do is to engage in an expensive activity that reduces productivity. Good going Stayingsober!
