Day 5 - Weekend is Here!!!

Good morning all,

It feels great to be at work right now not hunged over from the night before. It's been a tradition for me to go on a binge from Thursday to Sunday. Felt real tired yesterday and only did a bit of reading and studying. I tend to be hard on myself when i dont get things done but i understand that im battling some destructive habits that took years to build..

Last night i decided to visit my alcoholic friends with in mind of course that i will not have a drink. I went and said "wat up" had a few words and left within 15 minutes. They just looked so down like they have no purpose in life. It was a reflection of me and since im trying to change i had to get up and out of there.

From what i see, this will be a lonely journey and alot of changes will occur in the process. I see the need to change my surrounding and face my fears of meeting new people and getting out my comfort zone. Any how tomorrow is Saturday and i will be working hitting the gym a new bussiness venture so alot of researching and studying.

What do you guys have planned?

Congratulations on Day 5! I think it's good that you went to see your friends and it was a huge downer. Sometimes I see people drinking and seeming to have fun, and I just get resentful...ugh. Have a great sober weekend, GhostFace.

Moving a co-worker to her new house today, Lifering meeting tomorrow and my favorite weekend alcohol avoiding event - picking up dog poop. I only mention this last part because my dogs are a major factor in my recovery.
