Alcohol Was The Glue That Held Us Together
Alcohol Was The Glue That Held Us Together
I have been reflecting this afternoon on my relationship, and wondering what I could have done differently.
When we separated last March, we were each drinking a six pack of beer per day on work nights. On the weekends, we would binge drink.
I quit drinking suddenly. His drinking has gotten worse.
In spite of other things in our relationship that went wrong, of which some is my fault, I think we only held it together as long as we did because we drank.

Eauchiche,
This becomes clearer in your mind when you get sober. It's all sad because we are all supposedly suppose to live happily ever after and there is a lot of people on SR that don't get to have the happily ever after. You need to be so proud of yourself for working a program and getting sober. There is no greater joy then that. Maybe one day your partner will be blessed and get sober too.
Just count your blessings of where you today are and work your program and everything will fall into place as God wants it to be. Not our way God's way .. ((((Hugs))))
