We're here to offer support.
We do understand how hard this is. Do you have a plan to help you stop drinking? People often have to make changes in their lifestyle to accommodate sobriety - for example, avoiding places and people where alcohol is available.

what's brought you to this point?
We're here to listen and help.
The most effective way to avoid the temptation to drink, for me anyway, has been to resolve to choose sobriety as a way of life.
From there branch off many paths in support of that life... but it seems to be the common place we all begin.

Not advice exactly, but it would be good if you could come back here regularly and update on your progress as often as you can. There's a good network of support on here, and we're all people struggling with the same thing.
To stay sober you'll have to make some changes in your life, your routine. Go home a different way, eat something as soon as you get home, go to some meetings. It's hard to stay sober at first but it gets easier.

Jr, for me (now on day six), My biggest weekday craving starts around 3 in the afternoon. Hunger and desire to drink go together for me. I took a protein drink with me to work and had it around that time. It helped me get home without stopping for beer. The weekend has been more difficult because of more opportunity. I workout every morning and would pick up beer on way home...so this weekend I didn't take my wallet and therefore helped keep voice quiet in my head because I knew I couldn't buy. A couple of times when my wife was running errands, I literally put my keys in her glove box so I couldn't leave for beer. I also declined watching ballgames with the guys and stayed home. That all helped quiet the voice in my mind. But most of all I have been on this site off and on all weekend, especially when feelings we're almost overwhelming. I know we're all different, but some of that may help. I am rooting for you.
