One Week
Hello everyone.
I'm new here. Its been one week of no drinking for me. I've punished myself in the past with 15 years of alcohol abuse, the last 5 of which have been heavy daily consumption.
I feel confident I can beat it this time.
Each day I wake up feeling a little bit better than the day before so I am happy with my progress.
Thanks for reading

Welcome Changel.
Great job on your week of sobriety. We know how hard it is. I drank twice as long as you - and also drank daily in the end. It was a living hell. It's wonderful to be free. Glad to have you with us - the support & encouragement here is the best.

Hi Changel! Welcome to the forum. I can completely relate to functioning OK and then...BAM! Suddenly it's a daily struggle and a desperate cycle. We are here to provide support and understanding. Please keep posting, and congratulations on one week!
