Day3 working on 4
Day3 working on 4
On a positive note, I think ive turned the corner on my detox. The immediate symptoms from withdrawal are over, the insomnia too! Hence why this is being posted at 10am and not 4 am. Still not out of the woods, but i feel better.
Whats funny is im now realizing that that might have actually been the easy part. (2 days ago I would have kicked my today A** for saying that). But this has been my traditional pat myself on the back or oh crap! now i have to deal with all my short comings/fears/mistakes and well you know all the emotional/mental problems. What I like to call psychic pains. Well game on! Have a happy sober day everyone!

Nice work on day 4, day 3/4 were usually the hardest for me too.
I think you are spot on with your realization as well - physical detox, while unpleasant, is fleeting and finite. Coming to terms with a sober lifestyle is a much longer process, and it's a very difficult time - many do return do drinking at that point. Having a plan in place really helps, I hope we can assist you in that area.
