My apologies to forum and admins

I let my anger get the best of me yesterday and I apologize for that.

I think I will simply read posts for awhile rather than participate.

Thanks

I am so happy to see you this morning, ArtFriend. You put a big smile on my face. Now I can really enjoy my cup of coffee.

(Now I just have to grit my teeth and get through Lady Antebellum singing "Hey Bartender" on the Today show - really like her but . . . why are so many county songs about drinking???)

Sounds like a good plan. I lurked for a little while before I started posting, just to get a sense of the community and its "norms." Welcome back.

Thank you...you are sweet!

I know what you mean about country songs. They all seem to talk about drinking, trains and mama. LOL

ArtFriend, glad to have you sticking around.
As you mentioned so much of communication is non-verbal and that is what makes communicating online difficult. I have read some responses before where I felt rubbed the wrong way. But I like to take a step back and give everyone the benefit of the doubt. Instead of assuming someone intended to hurt me I assume I read it wrong and if I am really unsure ask for clarification before getting upset.
This is just my way, I am not suggesting my way is the right way, or you should conduct yourself the same, just wanted to offer a small suggestion as you seem to be well versed on the nuances of communication.
Again, I for one am really happy to have you around and I think a lot of others are too.
Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and go about your day the best you can. Be kind to yourself, you deserve it.
A big hug.

And how can we forget Brad Paisley wanting to be socially responsible and health conscious by wanting to check them for ticks.

Thanks for the warm welcome back! And again, I am sorry.

One thing I realized last night is that I really need to work out these issues of anger. I did not have the alcohol that seems to tamp it down. So now, I guess I will have to "Deal" with things rather than drink them away.

Work in progress.

Hey Art, we all have lots to work through. It just manifests in different ways. I prefer procrastination and avoidance. :-)

It was a Brad Paisley song "I Want To Check You For Ticks". I really like country music but some songs, well . . . . just too much.

Right!

Years ago, a country station where I live would post the names of some of the more ridiculous songs on billboards. Like:

You Took My Heart and Stomped that Sucker Flat
Walk Out Backwards So I Think You're Coming Back
I Bought the Shoes that are Walking Out on Me
Thank God and Greyhound You're Gone
Don't Squeeze My Sharmon

and my favorite

Drop Kick Me Jesus (Through The Goal Posts Of Life)
