I've finally come to grips that I cannot control my drinking and it only gets worse as time goes on. I have been in touch with a residential rehab facility over the weekend and I've gotten everything lined up to take a leave of absence from my job.

Many tears have been shed over the past few days, but I know this is what I need to do. I packed a bag, bought a plane ticket yesterday and I'm flying out in a few hours. It is a 6 week program and I know they are going to take good care of me.

Wish me luck everyone. It's time for me to start a new life.
