New here

Hi

I haven't had a drink since last Saturday and I feel much better for it. Previously I would drink a bottle and a half of wine each evening.

Longest time without drinking, apart from when pregnant, was 4 months. I want to stay sober for at least that length of time.

Welcome, Do45. Wine was my poison, too. I don't regret giving it up; it was one of the best decisions I ever made.

I loved geeking out to fancy wines but it always ended with opening a second and third bottle. My poor liver...

Hi, welcome! I'm on day 7 alcohol free and previously was also drinking 1.5 bottles wine per night avge. Longest I have been alcohol free apart from pregnancy and breastfeeding is 9 days after hypnotherapy. Unfortunately the hypnotherapy concentrated on stopping me drinking rather than the reasons why I was drinking. This site is so supportive you have come to the right place. You can do this!!!
