Day 28! Another successful sober weekend.
I could be graduating one of those standard rehab programs in the U.S.! Hahaha.
This weekend I went to an AA meeting every day, met with my sponsor…. Took my puppy dog to the park… went an watched a hockey game…. attended Hot Yoga, worked out, went for a run in the sunshine.
To summarize the past 28 days:
There are ups and downs but overall my life has already become so much less chaotic. Both my depression and anxiety has subsided, not completely, but SUBSTANTIALLY. I’m smiling more. I’m laughing more. I haven’t been fighting with my spouse nearly as much. I’ve remembered everything I have done. I haven’t woken up once wanting to die. I haven’t had to detox. My skin has cleared up and my bloating is gone. I haven’t missed work, I’ve actually become more productive and my desk is cleaned right up. I haven’t woken up with a hangover. I’m making new sober friends/supports through AA. My body feels stronger. My daily fatigue and exhaustion is gone. The obsession to drink has quieted substantially (only twice have I had really strong thoughts of drinking). I don’t feel like a slave to a bottle today.
To anyone who is struggling or coming back or debating trying this sober thing… please give it a real shot. Give it everything you have and more. There is a much better way to live, and right now I feel like living proof of that. Feels pretty freaking awesome to be sober & getting healthier every day!!!!!

Hi Mrrryah, thank you so much for the inspiration. You mentioned that the exhaustion is gone, and that is one of my biggest struggles currently (only on Day 5). When did that happen for you?
Congratulations on 28 days!!!

It's hard to pinpoint the exact day where I noticed a difference... but I'd say between 7-14 days I physically started to feel alot healthier 5 days is awesome - you're well on your way!!!
