I'm assuming this continues on from your earlier thread?

I think you really need to accept you're not going to feel great for a while livingnow.

We do an immense amount of damage when we drink the way we did, for years. Fortunately we can and do recuperate - but it takes time.

There's no short cuts here. You need a little faith that things will get better, and a little patience while you're waiting

All drinking does is to put off this necessary recuperation.

THATS IT RIGHT THERE

Well, Yea - the tired feeling got to me...as well as a long week.
I know, there will always be "something"
Can I go for a week??? as you asked? yup. I just did.

But what Ive learned and was just reminded of last night was the reality that:
Its the "thought" of just drinking thats the best.

The drinking part kinda sucked actually..
Looking fir the good in this - I think this just showed me that after 6 days I felt better in many ways...i was able to curl up woth a book, go to bed early, wake well, feel good about myself

OK NEW DAY- Im back to not drinking.
I can do this

Consider those 6 days practice for the big game. You can do this now!

Sounds like you have the right attitude and will do this. Your head is on straight, just dealing with the AV lies like the rest of us crew. I slipped about a hundred times. Seems to be part of the journey. The thinking of it is better than drinking. You learned that this time.

Go back on read this thread next time you are tempted. Don't beat yourself up, do the opposite, smile in the mirror and saw I am doing this! We got your back, just keep posting.
