Stores profits are down
Stores profits are down
Just wanted to share something my wife told me last night. She was at our local store where I used to buy my alcohol. The store clerk, which I got to know very well, asked how I was doing. I told my wife I will have to stop in and say hello. She said don't you go near that store.
Ahhh how things have changed. My alcohol dealer misses me and I am sure the stores profits have gone down. I decided to put the money I would spend on alcohol into a separate savings so one day my wife and I can go on a nice vacation. Embarrassingly enough the savings are piling up quickly.

Great way so see things. If I lined up the beer cans i drank while active, it would probably reach the moon. I don't even want to think about the money I spent.
I like your idea of the savings account. I'll try it!

great idea ghostman!!
I bought a $20 kettleball today - before it woulda been wine.
I see the people at my "store" (Wine Rack it's called) almost everyday as it's in the grocery store 3 min away. The first few months I got sober, I wouldn't even make eye contact with them!!! LOL
Now, I can check out safely with no worries of wandering over to see what's up. I often wonder if they are curious as to why I never go over anymore.
