Hello Im looking to meet new penpal friends
Hello, im realizing much of the reasons ive struggled with addiction is because Im isolated with no friends.
Im in California and id love to email or chat with others only on a friendly level. Just bc I seriously have little to no adult interaction besides grocery stores or what not. Im 30 with one child and im in early recovery.
Anyone else wanna a new penpal like me lets be friends

Hey Lana!
Only 15 days into this myself... I have a 4 yr old and live a long ways away from family. I'married but at the moment we both travel for work and are on opposite schedules... I totally understand isolation... This site is very helpful.. Lots of people here who understand us! Hang in there.
I can do all things through he who strengthens me

Hello Alynn,
Thanks for your response.
15 days is great! Im only on day 4. Football season is hard for me it's always been a family tradition to sit around and drink hard from September - February.
But im happy how good I feel on only day 4. Ive tried this before and usually I give in. But for some reason this time feels different.
Im struggling to find work but im assuming working staying busy helps you yes?
I can't wait to get back to it! Being a stay at home mom is more exhausting if you ask me.
Take care

Hey Lana
Hello all the way from London. So many lovely people here, all in the same boat. And it feels good to reach out doesn't it!
I'm day 3 after relapsing, early days are tough but with each day that passes a new clarity presents itself. And life can be simple and easy and clear!

Hey Lana
I know how crushing it is to be lonely. That was one of my deluded reasons for drinking. However, I can say in retrospect, after a year of sobriety so far, that it wasn't the loneliness but rather the fact that I loathed myself. Deeply. One of the great benefits of sobriety is self forgiveness and the chance to get to know myself much better.
You're welcome to message me anytime.
