New to al-anon, need secular support.
I am new to al-anon, but have been in AA a long time. I was recently diagnosed as co-dependent and am evidently a relationship addict. I'm more afraid than I've ever been, battling my alcoholism 25 years ago wasn't nearly this debilitating. I'm an atheist and am baffling my al-anon sponsor who insists that I'm being close-minded and is doubtful she can help me. A friend suggested I try this site.

There is a whole section here for Secular Support for Friends and Family of Alcoholics (for the Codependency part). You might try reading all the sticky posts in the regular Friends and Family section, too.
