Alcohol obstacle course

I can't believe the night I had. I have said before I work in a smoking bar. I quit drinking last Sunday and had my last smoke Monday morning. It has been extremely difficult. Last night the alcohol demon was at bay. Then someone bought me a drink for after work. The someone else bought another one. I have both away. Then in my way out a friend grabs me and insists I have a beer with them. I politely said no. He kept insisting. I said noooo not tonight. I managed to leave, the demons were unleashed though. Now I'm thinking I'll just have one when I get home, no one will know. I did not. I watched a scary movie had a cup of tea and went to bed. When today is done it will mark one week. I have a second job interview which is my ticket out of this toxic environment. But...I did it! Just sharing my horror test of last night.

That delayed demon often happened to me. I'd avoid drinking while out only to go home and "reward myself." only to start the cycle again. Nice job avoiding it.

Yes, tang, that's what my drinking brain was thinking...reward!
I can't believe I made it! I am so glad I have off the next couple days, haha

Now that's a REAL victory in your battle. Be proud of it, and build on it. Took a lot of strength to do all that. Not everyone could be so strong. I don't think that, in my early days of trying to quit drinking, that I could have done what you did. Not with all that being thrown at me. Congratulations.
