since I've quit.

I craved coffee? Is this normal I never ever even drink coffee. Maybe once or twice a month now I crave it . I had about 6 cups yesterday. And since I haven't smoked all I want to do is eat and eat and eat I'm never full !! I threw out the rest of the alcohol in the house last night it was actually easy to do

Since the standard depiction of an AA meeting is of people drinking coffee non-stop, I don't think your new craving is unusual! I don't know though, since I was a big coffee drinker before I stopped being a big alcohol drinker!

Good job on pouring out that alcohol. Wonderful!

I think the coffee and the food are pretty common.

Sooo happy for you, you are doing great!

I think it's a good time to listen to your body and what it wants and needs at this time. It might be ice-cream, candy or coffee. I loved coffee in early recovery too.

Coffee, vitamins, food, SR, RR and an occasional AA meeting has been working for me for 90 days. Keep doin' what yer doin' and don't drink (mostly I'm talkin' to me).

Too much caffeine makes me anxious. ..I had to cut way back in the beginning. Food continues to be a problem for me. ..since I stopped drinking, ive thrown myself into cooking, which I really enjoy. But I'm kinda obsessed with what wonderful thing I'll eat next...and that is not good since I need to lose weight! I am trying to at least cook only healthy, low calorie meals and am TRYING to cut down on sweets....good luck to you!
