I Get Really Drunk
I'm a 26 year old alcoholic. I guess I'm here for help and encouragement to stay sober. The longest I've been sober was maybe a month, not even really sure. Would also like to work on my relationship with my family, mainly with my girlfriend and son. Any good threads that could help, let me know. Also would like to be more positive. Thanks for reading
Welcome... you're in a good place for what you seek.
Have a look around, start reading threads that catch your eye.... post a bit more about yourself... post specific questions or struggles and others will share their experiences...
If you'd like to release yourself from the cycle of addiction, live a sober life and see things improve for you on every level - then you've come to the right place.

Welcome Zack. Before you can work on your relationships you must work on yourself. It can be done in concert with the overall living aspect of your life. But putting yourself and sobriety first will enable you to address the other aspects of your life more easily as you grow as an individual.
Have a look around. You'll find many in the same boat as you. Getting and staying sober is important. That means saying good-bye to those drunken times. For good.

Hello and welcome.
You're wise to realize you may have a problem at your age. I wish I had. It took me another fifteen years. And believe me, it only gets worse.
You'll find a lot of support here so post as often as you like,

Hi Zach,
Glad you are here. I echo the thought that it'll be great if you can get set now. I was sick until my mid-thirties and it took a lot to pick myself up.
It is a wonderful thing to be sober.
Hugs,
Grat

Hi Zach, Welcome!
This thread is a 24 hour daily posting of SR friends staying sober one day at a time. Maybe it will help -

This is an external thread someone posted yesterday that is detailed info about AA if you have questions or choose to go that route. It's working for me - 93 days and counting.

Hello and Welcome.
SR is a wonderful place of encouragement. It's great you want to work on your relationships. The best way to do so is SOBER!
The first step is being aware of your issue, so you are already past that! Do you have face to face support? I encourage you to be open and honest with those around you so you have a strong support network.
You are going to do this!
