It will get better. Sleep, eat, lots of water and vitamins. Orange juice helps a lot too by equaling out that low blood sugar feeling.

I'm addicted to OTC sleeping pills as well... I use them to get back to sleep after the alcohol wears off.

Now I'm not drinking I hope to get off them.

What a mess I've made of my life.

Yeah it's 12.30, middle of the day.

I'm not sleepy. Just have to wait it out. I'll keep reading and posting here.

It's raining too... not much incentive to go outside!

Sick, You are doing a great thing by reclaiming your life. You never have to feel this miserable again. Be proud of yourself for taking action.

Drink as much as you want, just make sure it's not an alcoholic beverage.

You don't have to ever feel like this again. You can fix your mess. Use this feeling as an incentive in the future.

Thanks YoungTom. What pills were you if you don't mind me asking?

I've been on doxylamine succinate. Some nights I've taken four on top of loads of alcohol. It's a wonder I didn't stop breathing.

I may have to taper them down. I don't think they are physically addicting in the same way as prescription pills, but I certainly seem to be addicted to them.

I love the feeling of waking up sober after a good nights sleep with no regrets from the night before.

It's such a simple thing but after years of waking up hating myself for what I'd done it's a blessing every day.

The things we do (or have done) to ourselves... crazy. Waking up without a hangover and clear headed is something we can give ourselves too though. Hope you find yourself there sickofthis - and a new life begins!
