Concerned about acquaintance and children
I'm very concerned about a neighbor. I hear their children screaming and crying all night (sometimes until 1 am). The back porch area (they are an upper floor so this is trash that has fallen to my level) is littered with toys, beer cans, cigarette butts and even clothing. Last night, this strange cup was tossed into our back yard area. I'm very ignorant when it comes to these things but I've been told it looks like meth residue and to call CPS. Is this true? I'd hate to make a mistake, calling or not calling.
The forum won't let me show the picture, but it's a paper cup coated with a kind of thick tar/charred looking material. I didn't want to touch it. It's still there.

Hi Koop..
I can understand your concern.. I would suggest putting the cup in a bag and taking it by the police department. Just ask them to take a look at it and explain the situation. I dont think any harm could come of it... and you might learn what your dealing with, how CPS would handle in advance of calling.

Thank you guys - I was worried I was making too much out of it. I've sent the photos to the management company and if nothing happens I'll call the police (this is what my social worker friend said to do as they can pass on the report to wherever it needs to go). I hate to think of that kind of thing going on right above my children's heads. Yikes.
