Hmmmmmmmmmmmm yesterday after I got out of the hospital I went to some American fast food joint called Carl's Jr. (I NEVVVVER eat fastfood). I got a Jalapeno Thick Burger, Bacon Ranch Fries, and a Oreo Milkshake. Yuck.

Trying to fill the void & though maybe it would make me feel better.

It didn't.

I fully expect to gain 10 pounds in the next month or so of sobriety. :|

Anything green and leafy. Today, carrot and avocado salad - lunch. Curly Kale, broad beans, beetroot and sweet potato jacket topped with a cheeky bit of goats cheese - dinner. I think i try to stay away from high fat foods to give my, already aching liver a break. I'm on my fourth day sober.

First 4 days - drank Gatorade, had chicken broth, some other light stuff (I was in the hospital)

At about 1 week I could eat anything without issues, but didn't have my appetite back yet.

At 2 weeks I was eating everything in the house and had a serious sweet tooth.

At 2 months I started to watch my diet a bit, especially sweets and fat. By this time I had already lost weight.

At 6 months I reached my "new normal". I eat a lot healthier than I have in years, and I like to watch my diet - I am 52 not 22 - with an occasional splurge. I still tend to eat too much meat and not enough veggies (another of my "character defects").

I'm eating about the same as before and taking supplements. Fruit smoothies, salads, fish, chicken. A few cookies. I'm addicted to Tajin on my food. Eating healthy and poisoning myself with alcohol. How senseless was that?? My brain was having technical difficulties.

1. anything I wanted, usually high fat. White pizza was my fav.
2. started to get a bit healthier, made 90% at home.
3. Tacos w/refrieds&rice///, porkchops mashed, red cabbage & green veg///macaroni and meatballs w/garlic bread & parmesan//typical sort of meat/potatos. --always served with a salad, all meals.
4. I'm adding a 4th. Started this paleo thing a few days ago. ALL veggies, a bit of fruit, much eggs & salmon.

1. Egg white omelets, turkey
2. Vegetables and proteins, nuts...thinking of going vegetarian.
3. Only at ~4mo, so diet is still the same.

Those fruit snacks called Gushers were all I ate my first try around. Haven't bought any yet this time around but fruit snacks and ginger ale are all I want. Yesterday I made myself a huge salad and was super excited about it... going to teach myself to cook finally instead of my drunk-drive-thru dinners.
