First morning not hungover
First morning not hungover
This morning is the first time I haven't felt hungover in.... well put it this way, the last time this happened the housing market hadn't collapsed yet.
It's pretty great, I'm really looking forward to this feeling on a day without work. Instead of hoping my heart stops racing before work I've listened to a record and had a cup of tea. Last night I fell asleep sober to the rain.
Feels like the lights are starting to switch back on in my head, and what I see doesn't look too bad.
Tom.

Hiya Thomas.
Its a nice feeling isn't it? To finally get some peace.
Very quickly I started to appreciate little things like the sound of the rain that would have completely passed by me when I was drinking.
Best of luck to you

That's great Thomas and keep those thoughts with you all day. You can wake up tomorrow morning feeling the say way if not better.
Treat yourself to something nice today - a yummy piece of cake this afternoon? a movie? some late afternoon exercise? An early dinner works wonders for me. If the AV starts in your head nip it in the bud immediately and think about how wonderful you felt waking up this morning. Have a great day.

Things are going to get clearer and clearer for some time to come. Count on it. I changed my "subtitle", over the last months, from "Needs Clarity" to "Getting Clearer" to "Clearing up Nicely" to what it is today, "Recovered from Hopeless State", because that is exactly what happened.
There's just something about waking up without a pounding headache, not having that horrible dry nasty mouth, and not wanting to throw up that just starts your day off right. Wain until tomorrow morning, it just gets better. You're on the way.
Great post! That gave me a good laugh about the housing crash. That's around when my last hangover free morning was before I stopped drinking. I am looking forward to joining you in another hangover free morning!
