Hello
Hello. I figure it would be polite to introduce myself. I'm 26, Australian, and I'm here because I woke up sick, hungover, cold and alone in my bed this morning. Again. And I don't want to live like this anymore. I've tried to quit before but it's never really worked. So here I am again. Trying to claw my way out of a wine bottle. So, uh, Hi.
Hi there and welcome. This site is a great source of support. I am still struggling to get completely sober, but this site has brought me further in this battle than I have ever been. It is not easy, but I know it is possible. There is a lot of inspiration here form people like you and me who have finally worked their way out into a great life of sobriety. Best of luck to you.
Welcome Persephonex.
This place is just amazing. Getting sober has been an incredible experience for me.
But as well as the good times there will be tough moments when the huge support in here comes into it's own. People genuinely care

Welcome to the forum! I'm a fellow Aussie too and only a handful of years older than you are. I also found myself drinking nightly, wine being my poison of choice. Quitting definitely isn't easy, but this site is a wonderful support network to start that process.
You can get through this!

Hi Persephonex!
I totally understand where you are right now... most of us do. Getting through a hangover and/or withdrawals is tough. Hang in there. The pain you feel now is temporary. Don't give in and start drinking again. Get some rest and do something to take your mind off you hangover. I suggest watching some movies or hanging out on the internet. Drink plenty of water too. Your body will thank you tomorrow. There is plenty of support here. Keep us posted on how you are feeling.
Good luck!
