He coming home

This is the second time my son is coming home from long term rehab. last time was a disaster. How I can be supportive without giving up my life. My wife and I both have full time jobs.

My suggestion would be to make firm boundaries about you and your wife expect and will accept.

You might also check out AlAnon as a support for the two of you.

Have you considerd a sober living facility for him instead of having him move back into your home? He will have rules to follow and be required to get a job. It's a good way for him to ease back into society and will save your sanity, too.

If at all possible I think this is a great idea. I wish I could go and I think he will to if he wants to stay sober

5 Sober Living Homes in Long Island City NY - Transitional Living Home

If those don't work, just Google "Sober living Long Island."
