I am freaking falling apart
Hello Everyone,
I had been sober for 56 days. they were not easy 56 days but I powered thru them and now I have fallen off the wagon twice in less than a week. I am disappointed, upset and plain angry at myself. I need to get back on the wagon and it starts with today but I feel awful (no not hung-over), I just feel empty and depressed. Any thoughts?

I realized that having a support network of people who understood my situation was essential. I also needed to know I had a program that would lead to recovery. I found these things in AA.
THIS!!! Be very kind to yourself, eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, go for a walk. Do things to build yourself up as a healthy person. It'll feel really good tonight when you go to bed knowing that you did good things for yourself today.
Be good to yourself; as others have said.
The 56 days is not lost. Your body and mind are still thankful for that time. It is a huge accomplishment... You can do it again.
That is some great sober time. Use the strength you learned during those 56 days to get yourself back on track. If you continue to drink, it will only get progressively worse; most of us have been there ( I know I have).
Good luck, you can do it. You have proven that in the past, now make it happen again.

The 56 days are not completely lost. Your body is recovering. You have proven to yourself that you are capable of remaining sober. Those are both very positive things.
When you fall off the wagon, you have two choices: Stay on the ground and wait to get run over; or climb back on.
Good luck, roroswrld. You can DO this.
