Question Any other furries in recovery?

I have yet to meet any furries in recovery.

Wikipedia has a good definition if you dunno what that is.

Furries are enthusiasts of anthropomorphic animals. Like a sci-fi fan or comic book fans.

Furries are rare birds. Lots of general sci-fi/fantasy folks around though.

Welcome to SR Tenderpaw. I believe there was another member here who is/was a part of the furry subculture. But I don't believe he has posted in a while. You might want to do a search on the term and see if any posts come up.

Yes, we had a member here who was a furry. I've met some furries at a fetcon, but none in recovery. Even so, you will probably still find lots of other people here you have things in common with! Welcome.

I'm a little confused about what a furry is so I'm almost positive I am not one.

Welcome to SR though.

Hi and welcome Asha

This is a pretty old thread.
People can PM you or post here if they want to contact you.

You'll find on the whole that this is a very welcoming and supportive community that understands that there are a variety of different lifestyles and subcultures amongst people in recovery.

Glad you found us

I'm actually looking to get in contact with some furries in recovery to. It really is harder than anything to find anyone in the fandom! I guess a lot of furries are still busy partying. Certainly there has to be other likeminded furs.
