Waking up sober

Waking up sober and without a hangover is amazing. No more waking up to a dry mouth thirst and gulping down water and using eye drops to hide my bloodshot eyes. No more avoiding co-workers the first couple of hours at work to avoid them smelling last night on my breath. No more being in a fog until lunch time and eating a greasy lunch. Sobriety IS awesome. Just a thought.

It's a wonderful thought JT. Thanks for sharing, I still find it amazing almost 18 months later. Have a great Sunday.

I have come to really look forward to my first cup of coffee in the morning clean and sober. It is such a joy to just FEEL GOOD. Keep at it Texas!

It truly is amazing, and it is often what keeps me from drinking when my mind is screaming for it. Even a drink or two (which doesn't happen often anyway) and the next morning is just not the same. I read someone post a while back that it's like they are trading one time of day for another...choosing not to get that temporary relief from drinking for the benefit of the clear hopeful morning.

It's an amazing feeling! There's nothing like waking up hangover free with a clear mind.

I am so with you on that. I just don't want to forget how good it feels to wake up sober fresh and clear headed..... after a while I take it for granted... thanks for the reminder
