It's been a while

I haven't posted in a while because I messed up. I drank again. So this is day 1 for me again. I went on a binder after my dog died. It is a stupid reason to drink again and I shouldn't have done it. I am back to SR and want to make a fresh start.

Welcome back! Now you have a solid example of a trigger that prevented you from moving forward to your goal. Next time you are in a similar situation, come here instead of drinking.

Just don't use your brain to move your hand to grip the drink and put it to your mouth and then swallow. (actually eliminating any one of those actions will keep you sober

Hi and welcome back. Your reason for slipping is not stupid. Your feelings took you to your comfort zone of drinking as it has for probably a long time. I needed time to recognize that my feelings controlled my escape mechanism of drinking and it’s a learning process to take control and reduce them to manageable proportions which results in not drinking even if we want to. It’s work but absolutely worth the effort.

BE WELL
