hi
Hi Misty! I'm on about my billionth time of trying to quit the boozing. Yesterday marked my 4th week of sobriety.
You are right, quitting is agonizingly difficult. Or it is really easy--you just don't drink!
Anyway, welcome. And best wishes!

Hi, mistyrain. Welcome to SR. Toughest thing you have ever done? Yep. I am sure it is. Same here.
But I was thinking about the things that I have accomplished in my life that have made me the most proud. Not coincidentally, THOSE things were, at the time, the toughest things that I had ever done.
Stay strong. Stay focused. And believe that, if you stay sober, you will look back at this decision by you as YOUR proudest accomplishment.
Good luck. I am glad you are here with us.

Hi Mistyrain, this is my first time and now on day 12. You're right it's one of the toughest things ever but you'll be really surprised how quickly you feel better. I'm no expert but what I try to do when I'm really struggling with cravings is take it one hour at a time. Also read and post here often because it helps a lot. Good luck and lets do this!
