Prayer

I was having morning coffee with Mom just now and I told her that last Sunday I woke up and my first thought was, "that's it, I'm done drinking for the rest of my life." Nothing happened bad the day before or anything, there was no heavy Saturday drinking or anything but I just felt in my heart I was done....38 years of weekend drinking was enough. Weird but I was happy and resolved. Then my says, "well I have something to tell you, your aunt and I have been praying for your drinking because we are worried about your health." Wow just wow. At first I felt kind of bad that my drinking is that obvious but she is my Mom and lives with us and I'm close to my Mom and Aunt so I took it for the positive thing it is. Too cool.

Family members see more sometimes than we think, my family were concerned about my drinking in the same way but never said much until I quit!!

Keep pushing through Sandy!!

A lot of times we are in denial about how obvious our drinking is.

Awesome, thanks for sharing that Sandy! Today I was thinking about how crazy it is that the desire to drink has been broken in me and I had a strong feeling come over me that people have been praying for me concerning this, specifically my mother and sister in law. Not something I ever thought or felt before in my life.

We often think that no one else knows and are surprised to discover that we weren't hiding anything. It's a big relief to not have to live that life anymore.

Loved that you said "done drinking for the rest of my life". You are ready.
