Getting them out

Anybody had any luck getting an A to leave while under the influence??? Any good ideas?? It would be sooo much easier on many many levels if I could get him out.

I don't have any good advice. I ended up leaving because I needed to leave urgently. I'm sure someone else will have good ideas, though!

I can only share my own experience. My X was very intoxicated and was talking horrible to me and actually scared my children also. He also pushed me. Luckily, I got a lot of this on video. I literally told him to leave that second and get out or I would call the police, his choice. I then called his sister and said if he was not out of my driveway in 10 mins I was calling the police, it made no matter to me which one he went with, her or them. I told him he could stay out or I would be filing an order of protection in behalf of myself and my children.

In my state there is something you can request through the courts, sole use of the marital home during divorce proceedings. However, the judges here don't like to issue those. I have heard in other jurisdictions they will do so.

I advise you to seek an attorney's advise. Most will give you a free consult. I met with three before I did this.

Good luck to you!

That is exactly what I did. I went with the question 'how do I make him leave for awhile.' I filed for divorce with sole use of the martial home and custody of the kids during the proceedings. I didn't even really know if I was going to follow through on the divorce but I did know he needed to leave and that was the only way I could force it. That document meant he could leave on his own or a police officer would escort him out.

They are easy to get where I live or at least I didn't have any trouble. I met with an attorney and it was about 10 days later that it was signed by the judge - maybe not even that long.
