Feel like I have a hangover today.

Last night after dinner I took my vitamins like I usually do, but for some reason my stomach blew up like a balloon. It was extremely painful for a couple of hours and hurt all night long to the point of keeping me up till 1:30. Then waking me up all through the rest of the night. Stomach still hurts today, I feel terrible and am exhausted. It is a lot like a hangover. I have pretty much wasted the day. I feel so bad. I guess the good think is that it isn't a hangover, my body doesn't have to detox alcohol. I just need a good nights sleep. Makes be think about all the days I have wasted lying around hungover.

I heard somewhere it's better to take vitamins in the morning, your body has more time to process them as your metabolism is slower during sleep but I'm no doctor. ;-)

I have been taking them twice a day after meals. This is the first time I had a problem. Not taking any till my stomach gets better.

Did you take them with food or on an empty stomach? They upset my stomach sometimes if I haven't eaten.

Also, if you lie down too soon after taking vitamins, it can wreak havoc on your stomach/esophagus. IANAD, but that's what I hear.

I hope you feel a little better by now ML - if you're concerned it might be a good idea to see a Dr and put your mind at rest?
