Off to family reunion :)
If going threatens your sobriety then you don't have to go. There will always be an event which is a reason/excuse to drink at. I had to avoid such events early on. In time I've built up ways of dealing with these events. I hope you are ok
Just re-reading my post. I do not mean YOU are using this event as a reason/excuse to drink at, just speaking generally about placing ourselves in difficult situations early on

Wasn't bad, ate a lot of food, drank coffee, had fun. Didn't spend much time (almost no time) talking to my cousins who are a few of my best friends.
Many cousins and a few pals are going out after the reunion to a local place.
I could go........stop in for a diet coke or two.
BUT, not this time. Figure might as well just come home. ALTHOUGH, I suddenly have a craving for diet coke, I'm going to go grab a couple and bring them home.
