Day one about to begin...1st august marks a new month.
I am excuses queen..but then I guess we all are. I have ridiculously played with dates eg. This is a good/bad date to stop...as if that makes any lasting difference!! But a new month is a good clean slate. I've stocked up on vitamins, elderflower presse and posh fizzy water...I can join you in sober ..
Good stuff.
I have started cycling again, Walking etc.. I am eating a bit more, Trying to snack on raw veggies. I am trying multivitamins as well, This is day 1 for them, I will see how it goes. I work long hours driving taxis, so trying to make time to do other things.

Morning everyone, thanks for all your support and brilliant there are some others starting today too...am off to work, will check in tonight. Looking forward to waking up tomorrow with a clear head and that little boost to my self esteem. Today is the day, guys...there's nothing to lose and everything to gain. Alcohol is a cunning master of disguise..it tells you that it helps with stress, to relax, to forget etc. but it just robs you of those. My time alcohol free before showed me that. But we have to play smart...it chucks many situations at you as reasons to drink. As I read, no one has physically ever forced you to drink, so don,t let situations or people mentally force you to drink. Today is all about taking back control...and that can only be a great thing.
Come on Dippy, you can do it. I'll join you on August 1st for my day 3, a day that has always been a sticking point for me. I'm ready this time. I can tell you that after only 2 days of not drinking I already feel better. Life is so.much.easier sober.
Have joined the class of August 14 thread. Feeling positive and know I have support on hand here. Enjoyed relaxing with my little ones and knowing tomorrow will be good. Slight headache, but really not too bad..no where near as bad as a hangover head!!
