Daily reads?

Whats your favorite book to read, to get you through your day?

I'm looking for daily inspiration, devotionals, that sort of thing. I'm having a hard time right now, (R)ABF went to the ER yesterday for a pancreatitis attack and I'm struggling with Letting go and Letting God.

All I feel right now is anger and resentment. As soon as I can, I will go to an Al-Anon meeting, but I'm in search of some good reads too.

Thank you !

Here's what I read every morning:

Courage to Change (Al Anon)
One Day At A Time (Al Anon)
Jesus Calling devotional

All three make a huge difference in my day.

There is a thread of daily reading from the language of letting go under friends & family of substance abuse. I like courage to change. I listen to codependent no more audio book in my car.

The Heart of Abundance

I read parts of this almost every day. And when I'm done, I read it again, and again.

Ilyana Vanzant has several daily devotionals - nothing about alcohol but good stuff for life, very inspirational and comforting

Another book I read part of almost every week is Being of Power.
We need to repeatedly come back to the fundamental practice of giving things up to get empty. ...... Whenever you feel stuck, are unsure about what steps to take, or are ready for something bigger in your life, the question to always being with is, "what do I need to give up right now?"

The mind always clings, but we increase our power and freedom when we drop the clinging. Each day is new; each moment is new. Each day we move into a new world, either dragging the past with us or letting it go to attract and act in ways that fulfill our higher commitments. If we give up the barriers and pretenses and bring into view the things that we weren't aware of about ourselves, take responsibility for them, clean them, what we have underneath is love. Love is what's left when we get all the other junk out of the way. In the space of love, all things are possible.
