This is what I have been waiting for! I really thought that after a few weeks of sobriety I would be feeling like this.... eight months later and it's finally really kicking in. I mean the whole feeling good thing. Also, I told my husband that if he didn't stop drinking that I would leave him for good. It's his first night not drinking. I am not holding my breath exactly but I am a lot calmer now after laying it out on the line. I am a bit worried for him but I am ready to be supportive. Either way the last few weeks have been what I imagined healthy, strong sobriety to be.

So genuinely nice to hear that you are feeling good and strong in sobriety.
The drinking spouse situation is one that I can relate to and did not anticipate being the challenge that it is. It is inspiring to read that, despite the challenging nature that drawing the line must be, your decisions feel healthy.
