Crazy idea. I need a new job!

Really! I live near Wilmington NC. No drivers license. 24 yrs of sales experience. I have a computer, internet access, and a cell phone. If I need to get to work, I do have reliable transpsortation.

I have been sober 13 days. Once I admitted I am an alcoholic it has been fairly easy to stay sober.

I really want to start putting my life back together, and it starts with making some money.

Please let me know if you know of anyone hiring.

Often the best thing to do is look in the paper, look at local notice boards and start ringing and hitting the pavement Johnny.

Service industries, like hospitality, are always hiring.

The job you get needn't be the one you keep forever - but you can use it for experience, as well as a little money coming in

Money sure does help...but make sure you're starting with a solid foundation. I completely understand what it's like to be jobless and in recovery, it's pretty tricky. But try not to juggle too many balls in the air at once. You have 13 days, which is great. Maybe you can try and get a few more weeks sober under your belt before you start the job search? Just a thought. Good luck.

If I wait I starve. Drinking is not even an option right now. I truly can't afford it. I am so over drinking. I hate that I let myself drink my way here.
Tomorrow is a big day. Need to make 2 sales or my cell will be shut off. I use my cell for my current sales job. No cell no job. On top of that we are running out of food. So tomorrow is huge.

I am not in any way asking for a hand out. Just venting. Two weeks ago I would have been at the bottom of a bottle right now. Today I am just broke and sober.

Brighter days are ahead. I know there is light at the end of the tunnel. It just seems right now that it's an oncoming train.

A good job website is indeed.com --- you can do advanced search to see what has been posted recently in your area.

Are you in AA or a local support group? I know around here that kind of info is shared (not during the meetings but talking before and after.) Just a thought. . .

Good luck. I'm glad you are on the right path.

No aa, no support group. Honestly simply can't afford the gas to go.

When I say broke, I mean can't afford a gallon of milk broke. That's why tmro is so huge
