the craving for a drink is not present but the fear of relapse is there my sponsor says I'm in the right place any thoughts from anyone else?

I remember being soooo scared of a relapse. The fact that you are frightened is a good thing -it shows you know in your heart it is the wrong choice for you NOW. You have never been the you that you are, right here, right now. You have to believe you are strong enough and obviously you are! You have made it two weeks! Awesome! Give yourself a hug for what you have done! Get through today and that is all you need to do. Each day, one at a time. You are in a new place in your life and there are people pulling for you. Please believe you can do it! You are worth it

Right there with you. Sober 21 days. Havent had any cravings. But i still have this "scared to death" fear of a relapse. Stay strong.

You'll get stronger every day, lvgsbr The longer you are sober, the more confident you'll feel. I know that, after almost 18 months, I still may be only one drink away from relapse and I'm on my guard, but the fear doesn't dominate my life at all any more.
