Today...

I have been saving my money for almost two weeks and today, instead of buying alcohol, I went for a back massage instead. I absolutely adored it I loved being wrapped up in hot towels and massaged and stroked like a baby

The lady did tell me after that the area between my shoulders was very stiff. She said that points to emotional stress and anxiety and said she rubbed it as much as she could. I was wondering if she is a mind reader

Nice end to day 13. Day 14 here I come.

I should have started being kind to myself a long time ago. Maybe I wouldn't be sitting here today...

Tetra, great job on moving into day 14!! Glad you took some "you-time" from money you saved on not drinking. It's amazing how much money, time and life is lost when drinking.

That's great, taking time for yourself. I did similar in early sobriety and still do. Massage really helps me feel mentally and physically better. If you can afford to go regularly then you really will feel the benefit. Congrats on another sober day

I walked home slowly afterwards...savoring an ice-cream.

Life can be so, so so hard but it sure does have it's perfect moments...where you wish you could pause and remember this forever...

The great thing about moving forward with your new life is that you don't have to pause and remember...you can live moments like that each and every day. Keep it up!
