So I saw my psychiatrist today. She was very impressed I stopped drinking straight away after caving for one day. She offered to give me more benzo's if I needed but, together, we decided not to go down that route as I don't want to replace one addiction with another.
I'm meeting my case worker later today and having more bloods done. Nervous about meeting her but we will see.
Overall I'm feeling good. I'm more motivated again and I'm determined to make this attempt stick.

Thanks HeadLump - how are you?
My psych asked how I'm going to stay off alcohol one the case worker isn't on the scene - I told her about this site (she had heard of it) and basically that I'm replacing alcohol with non-alcoholic drinks. In a wine glass there really is no difference!
I met my friend yesterday and she had a wine, I had a coke. I'm going to do this, I'm going to be alcohol free!
