Yeah I would thoroughly detest myself by that point too.

what about drawing a line and stopping the binge? It has to end sometime - why not today?

The good news is you can always try again! I understand the feelings of self loathing after you've let yourself down, but don't discount the days you were able to stay sober before these 7 days. Even 1 day sober is a day you were successful! I think nearly everyone on this forum has been where you're at and as cliche as it sounds, the only real failure is to not try. I hope you pull through and decide not to start over, but to take this experience for what it was and keep trying.

I've got some memories of binges I had, never again.

You can make this your day one Copanobay, never have to have those feelings again.

I feel for you. A binge you feel you can't get out of is terrible. I think we've all been there.

Stop drinking, pour it all out and go to sleep.

You must want to stop, or else you wouldn't have posted here. I know it feels ike you can't, but you can. Really.

Yeah I remember that - you really do.

The way to stop feeling that way is to stop drinking, drink some water, rest up, try and eat something later.

You'll feel less miserable tomorrow

Naturally, if you think you need medical help, seek that out too...

Been in your shoes many, many times Copano. The worst days of my life are the first few days after ending a binge. The regret and anxiety is the worst for me. Batten down the hatches and give it a go.

Ya. I concur with everyone above. I've certainly experienced the regret and flatlined thought patterns after a long bender. It really sucks.

I'm enjoying the heck out of 7 days of sobriety. My ability to write and talk coherently is coming back. I've told my addictive voice to shut up and that no, I am not going to drink. To much other fun stuff to do, like eating cookies!

It can end if you want it to Copano. A whie back you were asking about Celebrate Recovery, did you ever check into that? Bottom line is that you'll keep feeling like sh*t until you choose to put down the bottle and seek some help. Posting here in the middle of binges like you've been doing the last few months only helps if you actually stop.

Bottom line is that you have a say in this. In fact, you are the only one who has a say in it.

you can't do anything about it when your drinking...how about walking into an AA meeting? Even drunk they will welcome you. Maybe check into detox? There are solutions...

You don't have to continue to or feel this way again, you can make some changes and move forward to a happier place!!

I've been there man. Sleep it off, and re-commit to sobriety. You don't have to feel this awful again.

Copano, you will survive this and feel good again. You've learned something and will be even more motivated than before. You can get off it and stay off - and reclaim your life.
