Day 12

Still hanging in there... physically feeling a little better.. mentally.. its going to be a LONG road.. anxiety.. and old routines are killer... and WHY is liquor so easy to acquire?! I dont even want to see the sh!t...
I will say I am worried about the weekend.. Taking a trip to the beach.. I dont remember the last time I set foot on a beach without a drink in my hand..

The first few months of sobriety are full of "firsts" and your trip to the beach is just one of them. It will feel weird at first, but I would bet that you will notice a lot of stuff and enjoy elements of your trip that haven't been clear to you in the past. Congratulations on 12 days! Enjoy your weekend and the lack of hangovers, and take it a moment at a time. You've got this.

Congratulations on twelve days!
I had to avoid a lot of places, like bars, that triggered my alcoholic mind.
The anxiety sucks but it will abate. I know how bad it is because after I quit I found out I have an anxiety disorder. One of the main reasons I drank was to feel normal, but of course the next day the anxiety had me climbing the walls.
Anyway, enjoy the beach sober. Just keep in mind the ramifications of that first drink.

Congrats on 12 days xxzx29bxx

I don't know what a trip to the beach entails for you but if you're worried it'll be too much too soon, it's ok not to go?
