RIP-Laurie6781
Laurie was a wise woman who helped so many people. I will miss her common sense advice and support for everyone.
she covered a few different forums.
the main thread started be Dee is located in alcoholism....( it would not copy correctly and I am off to work, maybe one of the mods will fix this please)?

Oh how I hate to hear that, I will always remember her and miss her.
I was wondering about her just the other day.
I hope her passing was peaceful and pain free.
Thank you for letting us know.
I am so saddened, and in shock about this. I was never in any communication with Laurie, but I highly respected her views on everything. She was very much into DV, and I think she even volunteered at shelters.
She experienced so much in her life, and I just appreciate that she shared all of that with us.
She will never be forgotten. I will never forget her. She meant a lot to me.
RIP Laurie, you will always be in my heart.

Thanks for posting here, Fandy. laurie was a double winner and there are a few more threads in various forums. I think, for now, multiple threads are okay, as she touched lives in so many forums.
I can't copy and paste on my phone, but she probably has her story on here. For those who don't know, she was a real alcoholic and the doctor was posting her time of death on her chart many years ago. Her heart started beating again and she inspired thousands of people, including me. She rescued Belgian Malanois (sp?), mals for short. She loved wolves and nature.
She was a dear friend and I will miss her, tremendously, but will live on in my heart and many others.
Hugs and prayers,
Amy

Am so very sorry to hear this. I still come here once in a while to read. Whenever I spotted her familiar avatar, I would be sure to read her post, because I knew whatever she had to say would be thoughtful and helpful. May she rest in peace, and condolences to her friends and family here.
