Don't beat up yourself too much. Most of us needed practice shoots at sobriety.
One thing that helped me was to always learn what my trigger was, and adding support as needed. Do you have a plan? Sometimes it doesn't need to be that complicated.

Don't be beating yourself up petals!! chin up and go at it again!!
For me I had to really accept that 1 drink would open the door to those same thoughts of getting drunk, so I needed to really close that door firmly shut by not having that first drink, you'll get there!!
You can do this!!

Petals, can you keep alcohol out of the house, at least for awhile? That really helped me. And, don't expect your husband to understand that you can't drink 'just one'. Others just don't get it.
Have faith, stay strong and come back with a plan.

Remember the words of the Big Book "We deal with alcohol, cunning, baffling, powerful". All of us here have experienced feeling powerless over alcohol and its effect on our lives. Instead of beating yourself up over this, think about what you are doing right. You had 1 drink, stopped, and then came here for support! That's an amazing step forward. Don't let your feelings of guilt and defeat derail your plans for sobriety. Keep coming back!
I echo what the others have said, petals, you haven't let us down! Forgive yourself, have a large glass of water and go to bed. Tomorrow, come right back here and start again. You're one of us, petals, and always welcome here
