You know you're a member of F&F when...

...you read "RA" and think it means Recovering Alcoholic.

Laughing at myself this morning and this is the only place I can share the humor. A friend posted this on Facebook, and I couldn't figure out why she would be so public about her RA...or who she could possibly be talking about. Then I remembered RA means rheumatoid arthritis in her world. Nothing funny about that, of course, but whew. We all wear different goggles don't we?

I think this meme actually applies nicely in our world, too.

I love it!!! When our oldest, who's in college, talks about his RA, I always make the same mistake -- in his case, RA means Residential Advisor...

Ha, that's funny! And I used to be an RA (the college dorm kind) and that one didn't even cross my mind. Apparently, I'm aging.

This is funny, just a few weeks ago I was thinking how XCODIE would make a great license plate.

I thought RA meant Raging Alcoholic. I guess in some circumstances that could apply.

Pearlie, I'm not sure if you were joking or not since I can't see your face or hear your tone of voice, but in case you really were confused about that or any other acronym here, this might help: http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...-acronyms.html

And if you were joking, I apologize for taking you too seriously, as it IS funny!

My sister has RA, and I STILL think it means Recovering Alcoholic.

The word "RAW" no longer looks weird, even though it's used very infrequently here.

When you tell a friend that is going through detaching to " drop the rope" and the friend replies "that is exactly what my therapist said! ". This just happened earlier today.

When you tell a coworker casually about an alcoholic client: Just ignore him, he is quacking.
